Maldives has one of the most delicate environments on earth. The reef structures that form the Maldives protects the islands from storms and waves.

The country enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures year round and a great deal of sunshine. The weather is largely determined by the monsoons. However being on the equator, the monsoons are mild and year round temperatures vary very little.
